No event scheduled for 2021— we hope to bring this back in the future.

Change from last year! A set of 1-3 mile races for kayaks (includes canoes) with Prize money for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places in each of 4 racing classes. The race is loop course that starts and ends at the same location, Morey Park in Patterson, La. There are a set of recreation 1 mile races for awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Awards – Trophy or Medal

Recreation solo and tandem boats are welcome to race in the 1 mile race for awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

Racing division consists of four (4) classes:

Men and Mixed Tandem S/D
Man Solo (same as the Men’s classes, awards per person)

Women Tandem S/D
Woman Solo

S= single blade paddle D=double blade paddle

One registration allows you to race in all races.

The racing class, Men and Mixed Tandem S/D is one class with one start.

Course Length 3 miles (looped course, start and end at same point)

Also 1 mile looped course for recreation paddlers for medal awards.

Trophy for first place boat in each Racing division class by City of Patterson

Medals by Tour du Teche for recreation boats, Boy Scouts, etc.
